Amazing! Life changing experience The staff is so Nice! The food was incredibile. And I learned so much. The only thing that I recommend it’s to change the mattress, mine had a hole.

I had an incredible experience at the Joshua Tree 200HR Yoga Teacher Training with Kootenay Yoga School! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the amazing Lisa and Addy, who instantly made me feel at home. Their warmth, openness, and genuine care created a sense of belonging that stayed with me throughout the training—they didn’t just lead the space, they became family. They both truly embody the spirit of yoga—supportive, kind, and inspiring. My instructor, Stephania Spitzer, who is extremely knowledgeable and whose passion for yoga is absolutely contagious. She carried a deep, lived understanding of the practice and shared her immense knowledge with such grace and clarity. Her dedication to both the practice and the teaching of yoga was palpable in every session. You could tell this wasn’t just a job for her—it was a true calling. Her enthusiasm ignited a deeper curiosity in me and motivated me to dive in fully, not just as a student, but as someone eager to carry forward the teachings with integrity and heart. Every lecture, every practice, every conversation was infused with her heart and wisdom. She didn’t just teach us how to guide a class—she showed us how to live yoga with authenticity, humility, and fire. The food was another beautiful part of the experience—nourishing, vibrant, and prepared with such intention. Every meal felt like a mindful celebration of fresh, wholesome ingredients that energized us for the intense and rewarding days of practice and study. The depth and clarity of information shared throughout the program were exceptional. Each session was thoughtfully designed to deepen both the practical and philosophical understanding of yoga, making the training not just educational, but transformational. Most importantly, this experience changed my heart. It opened me up to new ways of seeing myself and the world, filling me with compassion, courage, and a renewed sense of purpose. I left feeling not only confident and inspired but truly transformed at my core. I met the most amazing people on this journey who I will never forget! My second experience with Kootenay. I completed my 200 hour YTT in November and was thrilled when I saw the opportunity for continuing education. The course was beyond amazing. Kootenay ensures that we feel safe and not judged. The energy was positive and welcoming. I'll certainly participate in another one should one be offered.

I had an incredible experience on Isla Mujeres with Kootenay Yoga School and I highly recommend this program. The facility was incredibly beautiful, and the staff there (housekeepers, gardeners, cooks) were lovely and kind. Kevin, the manager on the grounds, was outstanding! He went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and it was really lovely to get to know him. Our instructor, EJ, was an absolute delight! And our entire group thought so highly of her. She was an excellent educator and also kept the vibes really high. She was super supportive through our learning process. I also got the sense that the program values connections with the surrounding community, such as hiring locals and promoting local businesses, artists, and performers. I really appreciated that my money was circulating so much through the local community. Big cheers to the whole team in Isla Mujeres.
