I was so grateful for the experience at the Kootenay yoga teacher training. I honestly didn't really know what to expect but I went in with an open heart and mind and got out of it more than I could have imagined. There was something magical about living in the desert away from the predictable routine at home. I did things I didn't know I could do like wake up and do yoga at 6 am. There were challenges at times, but each one brought learning, reflection and growth. I didn't just experience new knowledge but there was also a shift in releasing old emotional wounds I carried. Lisa was an absolute angel. Her home made meals and juices were phenomenal. She put so much love and care into everything she did. She also provided nonjudgemental guidance and support when needed. The land also seemed magical and connected. I saw at least 8 shooting stars, a hummingbird flew right up to me, I saw bioluminescent clouds, a rainbow, and sunsets with remarkable color. I absolutely loved taking a bath outside and gazing at the stars above after a long day. I'm so grateful and blessed to have been apart of something so magical. It was life changing.

My training with Kootenay Yoga School was a great experience! Not only did I meet some amazing ladies, but the staff was so kind! The food was another plus and kept us well-nourished for our two-week training - thank you Addy and Lisa! Our teacher, EJ, was so energetic and had a contagious cheerfulness! It made it easier to take in all the knowledge. I can't wait to go back :)!

Couldn't have imagined a better experience! Kootenay Yoga School went way above my expectations. Not only did I learn so much about the history, beliefs, and poses behind yoga, but I also met amazing people, ate delicious food, and had a wonderful time in the desert. I can't recommend this program enough!

This ytt exceeded ALL EXPECTATIONS! I had the most incredible 2 weeks and I would go back and do it again over and over again! Addy was the absolute best host and a world class vegetarian chef. EJ was the perfect mentor and teacher. I shared the time with 8 of the best women I’ve ever met! If you are thinking about doing this training, this is your time!!! The desert life is typically not my cup of tea, but for some reason the vibe matched the scene so well it didn’t bother me. I am so grateful for the opportunity and I am confident that I am set up to be a great yoga instructor! Thank you KYS:)

This was undoubtedly one of the best experiences of my life. I really enjoyed the programme, I learnt a lot, the island is magical, the staff are extremely friendly and Sarah is lovely and supports you in everything you need. The food is delicious. I felt very welcome and I encourage everyone to try this experience.
